To-morrow, and to-morrow, and to-morrow,
Creeps in this petty pace from day to day
To the last syllable of recorded time…

(All my friends randomly quote music in their blog posts. I quote Shakespeare. What’s wrong with this picture?)

For the third week in a row, you my readers will have to wait yet another week for results from the Quiz Team match against Fenwick.

According to a hastily-made announcement towards the end of the day, all GCAL matches had to be postponed today, because Cincinnati State “ran out of electricity.”

Are they sending someone to the electric station? :^P

Fortunately, my fellow quizbowlers provided some good Quoteworthy for today. Here’s Harrison Lee:

Have you ever seen this documentary called Spider-Man 2?

Must’ve been a documentary on physics. It’s certainly no Ken Burns, I can tell you that. (Harrison went on to explain how the Butterfly Effect applies to Spiderman, the GOP, and the economy of skyscrapers.)

This was Michael Knadler aptly describing himself:

I’m so Asian!

I wanted to take this quote out of context, since it sounds just so random. But to Michael’s defense: At today’s makeshift Quiz Team practice, we decided to let Shawn Barber choose our teams. Michael made this remark after someone complained that his team had been loaded with Asians. He is by no means of Oriental descent. Not yet, at least.

TrackBacks

  1. This afternoon, the Quiz Team played against Purcell Marian on two levels. As usual, I was chauffeur. But that wasn’t why I was frustrated.

  2. Am I guilty of bragging? This is some kind of Butterfly Effect gone horribly awry.

  3. The Quiz Team beats out Middletown-Fenwick on Tuesday, in the final final match of the season. Some eyewitness accounts.
