Aggregate and exaggerate

| No Comments | No TrackBacks | Edit

Late last night I launched a new LiveJournal community for St. X students. (The community’s username, for you Friends of Frank, is stxavier_cincy.)

I’m currently the only member of the group, but I’ve invited several others to join me. Any St. X student can join, and their posts can be aggregated automatically. (That means that the latest posts from all the member weblogs will be listed on one page. It makes blog reading a bit more convenient.)

Some of you are already familiar with how sparingly I update my LiveJournal. Rest assured, I’m working on getting my LJ mirror back up and running.

I call the community site “The Cadets at Ft. Xavier Military Academy.” That’s an allusion to Mr. Odioso’s name for the school. I can exaggerate a little, why not?

This is the precursor to the Planet Xavier service, which will aggregate all St. X student weblogs, not just LiveJournals. I’ll talk more about that later on.

In the meantime, if you or someone you know is a current St. X and maintains a weblog, blog, online journal, LiveJournal, DeadJournal, Xanga, or what-have-you, please contact me (or post a comment to this entry). I’d like to list as many blogs as possible.
