Cahill’s Quotables
I never thought I’d stay fully awake during English class, but today’s class was far too funny to pass up.
We happen upon the word “concupiscence,” which reminds Mr. Cahill about pre–Vatican Ⅱ Solemn High Masses, which he remembers serving. He describes one of the Masses:
“The whole place was shot through with death — in Latin.”
A minute later…
“Have you ever looked into a cow’s eyes?”
And Mark Murphy responds:
“Have I.”
