Tết

I was so busy yesterday that I couldn’t blog. Yesterday was the beginning of Tết, the Vietnamese New Year celebration that lasts three days. My family went to Mass at a church on Vine Street in Downtown called Our Lady of Lavang (Công Doàn Dức Mẹ La Vang). It’s not really a parish; it’s actually a community, since the church covers all of Greater Cincinnati. We went to a festival in the basement afterwards. My ears are still ringing from the speakers there.

Friday, I published an article at Học với Tôi, the first in months. It’s about Tết, and it’s quite interesting. Go there and read it.

I’d like to say that I had a happy New Year yesterday, but the truth is that we were all shocked by the loss of the Columbia. The disaster hit home yesterday, but I don’t think that I want to elaborate upon those ramifications quite yet.
