My friend is going to change his nickname from “Vicious” to “Shinigami.” He says it means the same thing, but, as I don’t know Japanese, I can’t verify that. Maybe I should ask my cousin. He’d know. I can just imagine my Japanese aunt saying that in her neat accent: “S-h-i-n-i-g-a-m-i.”
