Quiz Team falls short Saturday
I was unable to attend the 2004 GCAL Regional Tournament at Cincinnati State on Saturday, but here is this morning’s announcement, for the record:
The Quiz Team finished its season on Saturday. Although it failed to reach the state finals, winning three matches and losing two, the season was successful. Varsity and freshman teams won the league, varsity and reserve teams won the Northmont Tournament, and varsity won its division of the Copley tournament. Special thanks to varsity members captain Greg Lim, Robert Hohbohm, Larry Stosman, and Joe Knadler.
Mr. Hussong informed me today that, during their last match, the Varsity team maintained a healthy lead for much of the game, but the opponent finished the game, answering five questions in a row, defeating the Varsity team.
I’m looking forward to next month, when we will begin practicing for the 2004–2005 season, my last. I fully expect some of my classmates to attend some games next year, by the way…
