Quiz Team defeats Mt. Notre Dame
Yesterday afternoon, the St. X Quiz Team was supposed to play Mt. Notre Dame on two levels. Due to the AMC, MND had to reschedule the Varsity match. So it was only the Junior Varsity this time:

The Junior Varsity team of yours truly, Sean Barber, Brett Seifried, Ed Kelly, Mike Knadler, and Jay Kiger maintained the lead the whole way, except for the Mathematics Round, which focused on trapezoids. Yeah… I never learned much in Geometry class freshman year. The team won 80–33.
I played during the Alphabet Round, category rounds, and some of the Lightning Round. I answered one toss-up question correctly:
The cell is made of three main areas. Which of these refers to everything between the nucleus and cell membrane?
(Answer)I must say, though, that the questions were laughably easy. Like this one:
Which temperature scale has the boiling point of water at 100° and the melting point of water at 0°?
(Answer)
We play against Ursuline next Tuesday Tuesday the 24th.
