Sysop

This isn’t exactly “new news,” but I forgot to mention it earlier:

I’m now one of three sysop of the Vietnamese Wikipedia. A sysop of a Wikipedia is analogous to an administrator in an online forum. So I get to protect (lock) pages, delete them, undelete them, ban IP addresses, ban users, and more.

How’d I get this privilege? Not to brag or anything, but I’m pretty sure that I’m the one who got the Vietnamese Wikipedia going, by overhauling the front page.

Because school’s been taking up much of my time lately, I probably won’t do much with these new privileges, except for reverting vandalism and such. Also, I may help out a little in translating the website’s interface, but that should probably be the job of Nguyễn Hữu Dụng, another new sysop.
