Netscape or Moz?

Netscape 7.0, Mozilla 1.01, and Mozilla 1.1 have all recently been released. Which do I prefer? And why?

  • I prefer Mozilla 1.1. Why? Because it’s cutting-edge. I’m a beta tester. Netscape and Mozilla 1.01 bore me.
  • I have to admit, though, that I appreciate some of Netscape’s features, and dislike others. I like the fact that NIM, a variant of the ever-popular AIM, and ICQ have been incorporated. I like the fact that the implementation of NIM now supports buddy icons and file transfer. I like the fact that Netscape includes support for web-based e-mail services, such as Netscape Webmail. But I don’t like the immense amount of ads and shorcuts to AOL offers. That’s why I don’t use it. Period. Oh, and the new throbber looks strange when Netscape uses the Classic theme.

BTW, if you want a real review, go over to ZDNet.
